NEW YORK LACE STORE, Located in Pawtucket, It was on the corner of Lonsdale and Main Streets. Originally located (until the 1950s) on Broad St. in downtown Pawtucket.
Many happy memories picking out our Easter Outfits at NY Lace Store. Dress, coat, shoes, hose. Dad would wonder why we kept up with this tradition since we only wore it to Church on Easter Sunday. I am lucky to have so many good memories of my parents. Miss them everyday!!!
Six of my family worked at the New York Lace Store and their branches, Coats Field and Warwick Shopper's World, over many years. Mom was the Bridal Consultant and dressed many brides and their whole party. I worked at Coats Field and then many years in the office. Great memories and tons of friendships.
My Aunt Louise was the store detective at New York Lace Store for many years. Starting in the store on Broad St. the moving to the one on Lonsdale Ave. Anyone know if when the one on Lonsdale Ave closed it relocated to Charles Street in Providence??
My real question is I remember Annette founicello coming to the parking lot with at least Tommy and Doreen ,in ? Approx 1957. Was it for the new opening?
My Mom & I used to love the New York Lace Store on Broad St. in downtown Pawtucket.
