HOWARD’S MENS CLOTHING STORE
It was the place to buy your clothes if you were a young “cool guy”,
I mean really cool. It was definitely hip if you bought your clothes at Howard’s.
It wasn’t your Fathers clothing store. “The Sharp” in look was from Howard’s.
They were located in Downtown Providence, on Weybosset, next door to the
OUTLET COMPANY. They closed in the early 80’s as the Mall openings
started a new trend. It ended Howard’s reign as the top young
men’s clothing store and they sadly closed.
