    1. Yes I do. My cousin Pat Hall was the chef and made him a great dish and struck up a friendship with him. He would come in and just say tell Pat to make me something and Pat would whip up a killer meal. Sherm then would talk up The Pub on his show the next day and thank his friend Pat.

  2. PC games- all civic center events- trinity and ppac- and players all providence landmarks- how I miss the good ol' days- the Players softball team is still alive and kicking! winning state championships and playing allover the country

I remember going in there on Saturday mornings and seeing Joe Dorley and a bunch of his cronies inlcuding Jack Skeffington, Jackie Cronin, Oscar Shagian and many others hanging out and Jodi the owner serving them 'buffet style' extravagant lunches that he had prepared just for them. It was a great place to go and watch a game on Saturday afternoons!

  6. I worked next door (1976)at First Bank and Trust and saw lots of colorful Providence 'businessmen' dining at Players Corner Pub.We handled many of their accounts during the mob days. Wild times!
