    1. I don't believe there was a Ladd's there. I think you're thinking of Midland Records, right across the hall from Orange Julius; I spent a lot of hours hanging out there!

  3. Ahhhh........Midland Mall. Remember when it first opened. It was a fabulous place to shop and I do believe Ladd's Music was one of the stores. Whenever I talk about the RI Mall I still refer to it as the Midland Mall.

  4. My dad purchased my first trumpet from Ladds when it was located on Park Ave in the same building area as the Park Theatre.

I also remember literally running to that same music store (after shoveling snow for several hours to make money) and buying the Meet The Beatles Album....running back home with my prize and blasting the record on my dad's stereo!

  7. Yes I remember Ladd's, next to the Park Theater. Bought my 1st Beatle Album there. Then later, it became Cranston Music. Buz Terry's Music Store was across Park Ave. next to Benny's. I took guitar lessons downstairs. I still see Mr. Ladd, around.
