    1. The Lincoln mall located was where Homegoods is now. They closed in around 1990. Homegoods opened in the Peerless space 8-11 years later and it's still there today.

  7. It was a cut above The Outlet so they always said. Classy store. The Outlet had good quality things though.

  11. I worked at the Swansea Mall Peerless from 1978-1983. I used to work at ALL of the annual consolidated Coat Sales. We got an extra $1 for every coat we sold back then as a bonus. I went to work at Wayland Square when Swansea closed. I worked for Peerless for 9 years. The President of Peerless (Owned by Gold Ring in NY) has Ann Hill, "Miss Hill" who inspected every Peerless store back then. They had beautiful clothing!

  12. I worked in Pawtucket wrapping Christmas gifts. Loved it. After graduation in 1976, I worked in Lincoln Mall. We opened that store with gold standard of quality customer service and merchandise. I loved walking with my Mom over the little bridge from the parking lot in the back of the Pawtucket store, when I was a child. The cosmetics department on first floor displayed face powder that was custom blended for each customer. Beautiful store.
