My Mom & I used to love the New York Lace Store on Broad St. in downtown Pawtucket.
I can remember getting some nice clothes there.
I remember the colored bunnies and chicks outside at Easter time on Broad St. store
My parents met when they worked here. Dad in receiving. Mom in the office. If not for this store I wouldn't exist!
Many happy memories picking out our Easter Outfits at NY Lace Store. Dress, coat, shoes, hose. Dad would wonder why we kept up with this tradition since we only wore it to Church on Easter Sunday. I am lucky to have so many good memories of my parents. Miss them everyday!!!
This was a popular spot for the family to visit in Pawtucket at Christmas, along with Shartenberg's and Eastern Toy.
Six of my family worked at the New York Lace Store and their branches, Coats Field and Warwick Shopper's World, over many years. Mom was the Bridal Consultant and dressed many brides and their whole party. I worked at Coats Field and then many years in the office. Great memories and tons of friendships.
Did you know my dad ,Paul Madden - manager.

My Aunt Louise was the store detective at New York Lace Store for many years. Starting in the store on Broad St. the moving to the one on Lonsdale Ave. Anyone know if when the one on Lonsdale Ave closed it relocated to Charles Street in Providence??
Never relocated to Charles st.
I remember them selling Beatle wigs back in '63 or '64.
Does amyone remember the hardware store next to the new york, lace store on Lonsdale ave,in Pawtucke?

That was B G's named after the owner of the property who owned the complex his name was Buddy Gerber

My real question is I remember Annette founicello coming to the parking lot with at least Tommy and Doreen ,in ? Approx 1957. Was it for the new opening?
