I think there were 1700 people in the trunk of the car !!! Wasn't my car but got voted to drive it in - it was an 'over 18' movie and my sister/her friends weren't 18. They piled into the trunk and I drove in by myself. Still wondering why I didn't get questioned lol...
In the summer could park in the lot next to the drive-in and see the screen quite well and hear the sound from the film from the open windows of the cars.
I remember seeing a James Bond movie there. I also remember shipping out to the Marines from a big red brick building (armoury?) near there in mid 60s. The James Bond movie was better!
