    2. I remember Nyanza as a kid. I remember it was the only department store that had a TON of floor to ceiling poles all over the sales floor, so a lot of the clothes bins had to be strangely placed. In 2003, I was working for Tom Ricci at Norwood Chevy parts department, and he wanted me to go over to the back of the Kia building, the old Nyanza, to sort out some unidentified truck bed liners. I started pulling them off to the side to check them out, and holy crap, on the floor was like a 10 ft. by 10 ft. oval logo from the Nyanza store on the floor made of black and white small square ceramic tiles like you would see in an old house bathroom! I'm sorry I didn't have a camera at the time. It was PRICELESS! Talk about memories.

  5. Nyanza was on Post Rd. where Balise is. Atlantic Mills was in Olneyville. Something was at the Shipyard but can't recall what though I had been in there.

    1. Atlantic Mills also had a location at the Shipyard. First in one of the WWII buildings, and later in the 60s-vintage bowling alley.
