  1. I think there were 1700 people in the trunk of the car !!! Wasn't my car but got voted to drive it in - it was an 'over 18' movie and my sister/her friends weren't 18. They piled into the trunk and I drove in by myself. Still wondering why I didn't get questioned lol...

  2. In the summer could park in the lot next to the drive-in and see the screen quite well and hear the sound from the film from the open windows of the cars.

  3. I remember seeing a James Bond movie there.
I also remember shipping out to the Marines from a big red brick building (armoury?) near there in mid 60s.
The James Bond movie was better!

  4. Wasn't it off Narragansett Boulevard, the current Harborside Campus of Johnson & Wales?

    3. This place brings back memories. My day worked in the Shipyard Marina yacht broker office, he sold powerboats after retiring from the Navy in '63. I only went to one movie there, maybe Aug. of '65, but it was classic....the Beatles in "Help". We were sailing a regatta in Edgewood and walked over, we paid and sat on a bench next to a speaker.
